New Age Drilling Solutions Inc. provides a professional and extremely seasoned diamond drilling team to work on all of our projects.

At the front of the house, New Age employs Supervisors with extensive management and supervisory experience on tough diamond drilling projects. Our Supervisors have at least 5 years supervising drilling projects of all sizes. They are trained on implementing all aspects of New Age’s drilling systems including our Occupational Health & Safety System and must hold a valid Front Line Supervisors Certification. The Front Line Supervisors Certification is mandatory for Supervisors working on mining sites in the Yukon.

Using a combination of training on Standard Operating Procedures and a bonus system based on safety practices, New Age Drillers and Driller Helpers drill efficiently and effectively in the toughest ground in the most extreme weather conditions.
At the back of the house, New Age has a group of partners, all Yukoners and a First Nations partner. Between the partners, there is over 40 years in the construction and diamond drilling businesses and over 20 years in health and safety programming.

New Age has targeted positions that are responsible for continuously updating and improving our Occupational Health and Safety System which includes Standard Operating Procedures for all aspects of diamond drilling.

Our mission to work with integrity with all of our partners in the drilling industry has created a network of equipment, transportation, technology and financial management experts that we work closely with to deliver a professional drilling service.

Safety is our main priority in all aspects of our daily operations. By creating job-specific safety and environmental policies and procedures, that are mandatory training for all workers on the work site, New Age collaborates with our clients to excel in the safety arena.  New Age has had no lost days due to employee injury since its inception.

New Age Drilling Solutions has an Occupational Health & Safety Manual, Standard Operating Procedures for skid and heliportable drilling operations, and Emergency Policies and Procedures which are all available to prospective clients.  All New Age Supervisors are must have a Front Line Supervisors Certificate and provide leadership in all aspects of safety and environmental management..

New Age works with clients to ensure that all environmental, ethical and occupational health and safety regulatory responsibilities are followed. We strive to ensure that our employees are provided with the tools and training to keep everyone safe at work. New Age Drilling Solutions Incorporated (New Age) has an Environmental Regulations Compliance Strategy (ERC Strategy) to ensure compliance with all applicable environmental regulations at every job site.

The other goal of the ERC Strategy is to focus on leaving a small environmental footprint at every work site. We continually strive to improve our environmental practices and are leaders at developing and utilizing new technologies to further reduce the environmental impact.

New Age always works with local people and authorities, our clients, other contractors at the work site, to ensure we are acting in compliance with local environmental regulations.  We seek to ensure respect and compliance with local heritage or First Nations issues for each drilling project.

During the development of our drilling contracts, New Age recognizes how our business activities will have direct and indirect impacts on the environment.  We work with our clients and affected parties to implement clear communication processes, and, standard operating procedures to mitigate these impacts.

New Age has an impeccable environmental record with zero infractions and our drilling practices exceed applicable environmental laws, statutory obligations, and, relevant voluntary codes of practice.

The following Environmental Guidelines are the starting point for our drilling projects and business activities:

  • environmental protection and waste minimization is the responsibility of every employee;
  • in situations where environmental regulations are absent, New Age utilizes standards, applying best management practices, to achieve environmental protection;
  • whenever possible, supplies and materials are sourced locally to minimize transport impacts and support the local community;
  • assess environmental risks and impacts from all business activities;
  • follow established Emergency Preparedness & Response Plans for all activities which involve potentially hazardous substances such as chemical or petroleum products;
  • biodegradable drilling fluids are used where feasible;
  • where ever possible, waste is recycled, reclaimed, or, reused;
  • any spill, accident or violation is immediately reported to New Age’s management team and to regulatory authorities as required; and,
  • restoration of drill locations to acceptable environmental conditions on termination of the project.
